“Light movement study”, 2013.
Ubication: CaSa. San Agustín Art Center, Oax. Oaxaca
Technique: Curtains made with layered confetti paper, wind, light, Photo credits: Valeria Florescano. During a workshop with Astrid Krogh, i made this installation piece conformed by layers of confetti papers as used in traditional festivities, to make some curtains. Because CaSa is situated on top of a hill and is the site of an old hydroelectric plant, it has considerable wind. The exercise was to play with light and obscurity. Echoing the transitory aspect of light, the installation was also very sonorous and invitied us to cross the material world into our consience world, unvealing sound and light passages that reveal our own inside and outside, like the curtains turning with the wind in the building.
