“EOH”, Smokey mirror, 2012.
Techniques: Yakisugi wood and bullseye glass.
Dimensions: 1.21 x 1.47 mts Photo Credits: © Romina Hierro Is a piece that recalls the natural black glass called obsidian, what I did was conforming layers of obscurity where the black glass and the burned wood alter in a intentional universe of layers, shadow and reflection. Echoing the transitory aspect of light, and inviting us to cross the material world into our consience unvealing silent passages that reveal their own details as well as what they reflect. |
